Calling all golfers out there (or aspiring golfers!).

DUPLAYS is thrilled to announce "Happy Gilmore IV" for 2012.  The league will have players teamed up with three other DUPLAYS members every Sunday night. 

Note: this league has been created for individuals to participate.  You will play in 4 balls - meaning you can sign up individually and we will place you in a group of 4 each week. You do not have to sign up as a group of 4 players.

Our DUPLAYS Golf Social League is aimed at golfers of ALL abilities. The floodlit Par 3 course at The Emirates Golf Club makes an ideal venue for the recreational golfer.

The league will run over 8 weeks 

Each competitor will play 9 holes per week on the Emirates par 3 course. 9 holes will take approximately 75 minutes to complete.

Players are encouraged to arrive early and stay late to take advantage of the practice facilities on offer and meet other players.

Sport is always a bit more fun with a bit of healthy competition!

RULES

• 1/3 handicap allowance

• Competitors can choose to play in 2/3/4 balls depending on numbers

• One mulligan permitted per round

• Players must mark each other's card

• Score cards must be signed and submitted after each round to the DUPLAYS representative on site

• Players that do not or cannot attend an event will be given the average score for that days play

• Have fun and be social!

DRESS CODE

Yes it is golf we are talking about after all, so players must adhere to the proper attire. The Club reserves the right to refuse admission to the course to any person considered inappropriately dressed.

Dress code for golf courses, driving ranges and practice greens:

Gentlemen

• Tailored trousers or shorts are required
• T-shirt with collar and sleeves is required and must be tucked inside the trousers or shorts
• Mock neck golf shirts are permitted

The following are NOT acceptable:

• Denim, pool wear, cargo & combat style trousers & shorts
• Athletic attire (including football / soccer shirts)
• National Dress

Ladies

• Golf shirts or blouses are required
• Golf trousers, shorts or skirts are required
• Ladies round neck golf T-shirts are permitted

The following are NOT acceptable:

• Dress shirts, denim, pool wear, athletic attire, National dress

Footwear:

• Golf shoes with soft spikes or flat-soled training shoes are required
• Socks are required

Individual scoring

Teams play once a week, 9 holes, approx 75 mins

Day: Sunday nights

Duration: 8 week season 

Timing: 7:45pm

Fee: AED 950 per person/player

No-shows: If you can't make it on a given night you will be given the average score that night. No-shows are lame.

Capacity: 36 players
